Drawing club - April 6 and April 9 (loose portraits and mark-making)

£15.00

NOTE : if you have booked and have not received joining instructions 24 hrs before class time, please do check filtered mail.

Join a teacher-led weekly remote drawing community where I will share reference I love and provide a skill-focus needed to represent them visually.

Join to:
- bring my approach to colour, form and mark-making into your own practice
- give yourself regular supported opportunities to produce work
- be part of an ongoing community
- grow in confidence
- draw along with the demonstration on the theme of the week

FORMAT:
Sessions are via Zoom with recordings available after:
30 minutes – Introduce theme, inspiration, skills review and warm-up
60 minutes – Main draw
90minutes Total

HOW IT WORKS:
Make the booking by completing payment for a session. After that, you’ll receive an email with 2 links:

- A link to join the drawing club 90minute zoom session
- A link to join the community platform where you can share comments and support.

PAYMENT/ PRICE:
You pay per session - see the price below. You can buy just one session or become a regular and pay to attend each and every week.

WHEN:
There is one theme for the ‘drawing club’ per week but two possibilities to join (you don't have to tell me which you will attend, just come to one):

- Session A – 6pm Sundays (London time)
- Session B – 9am Wednesdays (London time)

The goal is to build a positive creative space for drawing with weekly opportunities to connect and grow as artists.

TIME NOT CONVENIENT? '.. See you on the community platform after'
- After a live session, I will share the class recording link with you by email so you can participate at a time that fits around your schedule and then share your work in the Drawing club community platform.

MATERIALS:
Generally we will be using a range of dry materials but may also use wet mediums such as acrylics. I am very flexible about what you use and what you feel comfortable with.

The suggestion for materials would be (or similar):
Soft pastels (set of at least 20 varying colours)
Acrylics (Primaries yellow, red, blue then also white - will be enough to mix)
Paper A4 and A3 size - mixed media paper for the acrylics – heavy weight 200gsm or more
Paper A4 and A3 size – for dry media 90gsm is fine – a sketchbook of about 30 pages is good.
Palette for paint, at least a fine brush (4 or 6) and something broader (perhaps a 12) should be fine but a selection of different sizes would be great.
Suggested: a selection of different general dry media such as pencil crayons or markers.

Participants must be aged 18 years.

Refunds are available if a booking is cancelled 7 days before the class.
